ROCKWELL HARDNESS TESTER
MRT-AL 150
Why Rockwell Hardness Tester
The Rockwell is a hardness scale based on indentation hardness of a material. Rockwell Hardness Tester is suitable for testing hardness of metals and alloys. These testers are simple in design and easy to operate, still yet quite sensitive and accurate.
MRT AL-150: It's Automatic weight selection with automatic zero setting dial gauge with more testing height and throat.
We at Multitek Technologies perform wide range of Rockwell Hardness Testers test for the hardness value of various materials according to Rockwell Principles. The testing procedure is according to ISO 6508 and ASTM E18.
Tactics of Measuring Rockwell Hardness
The Rockwell hardness test measures the hardness of metallic materials in the simplest possible way, i.e. by pressing an indenter into the surface of the material with a specific load and then measuring how far the indenter has penetrated. Most of the time, the indenter is a steel ball or a diamond.
Benefits of performing Hardness Testing

The Rockwell hardness test is used for macro hardness tests, which are generally defined as tests that use indentation loads below or equal to one kilogram-force.

-
Accurate results: Rockwell hardness testing is a highly accurate method of measuring material hardness, and the results obtained are consistent and repeatable.
-
Versatility: The Rockwell hardness tester can be used to test a wide variety of materials, including metals, alloys, plastics, ceramics, and composites.
-
Easy to use: The Rockwell hardness tester is relatively simple to operate, and the results can be obtained quickly and easily.
-
Cost-effective: The Rockwell hardness tester is a cost-effective method of hardness testing, and it is widely used in many industries due to its affordability.
-
Small sample size: Rockwell hardness testing requires only a small sample size, making it ideal for testing materials that are difficult to obtain or too large to handle.

Overall, the Rockwell hardness tester is an important tool for materials testing, providing accurate, reliable and versatile results that can be used to make informed decisions about the properties of materials.
